Nesting on Steroids

I know most women don't decide to redo their kitchen cabinets 6 weeks before having a baby, but call me crazy because I did.  I have been wanting to have them done since we have lived in this house and just have never done it.  I knew that if I didn't do it now, I would never do it.  So.... it just so happened that we had one weekend before Holt arrives that we needed to go out of town to get our last little bit for him and would be gone for majority of the weekend.  I cleaned out the kitchen on Wednesday, the painters came and prepped on Friday, painted on Saturday and Sunday and we were completely done by the following Friday with doors and drawers back in place.  I absolutely love my new kitchen and it makes it feel so much brighter and bigger!  Even Dan loves it more than he will admit.  Haha!

Lots Of Love for Baby Holt

We have been doing some home projects before Holt arrives so I have been without a computer for the past month and I don't think you can, nor would I want to update my blog via iPhone.  So I have lots of time to make up for.
The last weekend of September was filled with showers for Holt.  Dan's parents were able to come down and celebrate with us at both showers since one was a couple's shower and the other was given by some of my dearest clients/friends.  It was so great to be able to have both of our parents with us to share in such a special time.
Matt and Cooper and Lance and Amber hosted a couple's shower for us and our friends.  It was great and of course, knowing Cooper, was perfection down to every detail.  The food, the decor, the wonderful time spent with our friends and family,  it was more than we could asked for and we are so appreciative that they all went above and beyond to do this for us.

We were also blessed to have another shower on Sunday afternoon at Jennifer Lindemann's house.  The Lindemann family along with Kim Holmes and Darla Milhollon hosted this wonderful day for us.  There were many special touches here also, and so many of my longtime customers came and shared this day with me making it so much more special.  It's amazing how all these years of being in business and it has truly hit me that my customers are so much more than that, they are my friends.  I am so attached to them as they are to me and I will miss them one day when I'm done with nursing school and no longer have this job.  I am so privaledged to have so many wonderful people that I get to share my life and every day with.
